Clones Golf Club

Clones golf course is located 4km from the hotel. The 18 hole golf club is an enjoyable setting in which to play. Clones Golf Club features a delightful parkland golf course built on undulating drumlin hills where every hole offers a unique experience. The golf course of Clones Golf Club is built on a limestone belt in County Monaghan. It is a hilly parkland course featuring a total of eighteen holes. It was originally founded in 1913 with just nine holes. There are some spectacular views to be enjoyed by the golfers here. The magnificent views of the Monaghan and Fermanagh countryside will especially appeal to the aesthetic sense of the golfers. Kingfisher Trial

The Kingfisher Trail loops around lakes and islands, winds by rivers and streams, and passes through woods and forest and country parks. You can cycle to scenic viewpoints as well as down rustic village streets.

Walking

Walking enthusiasts will find many walks within the 'Drumlin Belt' - the area of lakes, hills and rivers in which Clones lies. The varying altitudes reveal an interesting range of views over the surrounding land.

Ulster Canal Trail

The Ulster Canal Trail is a 77km linear cycle trail between Maghery, Co Armagh and Clones, Co Monaghan. The trail travels through a rich scenic tapestry of lowland lakes and rushing rivers. An array of tourist attractions are situated along the route and include forest parks, historic houses and galleries with plenty of opportunity to stop at traditional restaurants and pubs to savour local specialities.

Fishing

Clones is surrounded by 60 lakes within a five mile radius and is the ideal location for those who are keen to fish the Erne.
